Brief Introduction

Sindhuli is a hilly district located in Bagmati Province on the map of Nepal. Naturally, this district is located in the plains of inner Madhes to the hilly region. From the Chure region of the Terai to the hilly Mahabharata, this district extends almost east-west like the map of Nepal. According to mathematical geography, this district is located on the world map from 26 degree 55" to 27 degree 22" north latitude and 85 degree 15" to 86 dig 25" east longitude. The lowest part of the district is at an altitude of 2787 meters above sea level. The climate of this district is different due to the diverse landscape. The maximum temperature near and around the Chure hills is 7 and 8 degrees Celsius, while in and around the Mahabharata, the maximum temperature is 19 and 20 degrees Celsius. Sindhuli district has a total area of 2491 sq km. is.
Sindhulimadhi district headquarters consists of two federal parliamentary constituencies, four provincial constituencies, two municipalities and seven rural municipalities.

There is a warm, sub-tropical and temperate climate in this district, so plants and animals are also diverse. Availability of both wood and woody vegetation is a feature of the forests of this district. Forests cover about 64.8 percent of the total area of the district. The district's export products include amriso, ginger, turmeric, groundnut, herbs and various fruits of amilo variety.
According to the report of 2068, the total population of this district is 2,96,192. Of these, 1,56,069 are females and 1,40,123 are males. There are 57581 households in the district. The population density of this district is 119 per sq km. is. There is a majority of Tamang caste in this district. Endangered minority communities like Hayu and Thami are also living in the district. There are extensive settlements of indigenous Rai, Danuwar and Majhi in the areas adjacent to Kamala and Marinkhola of this district. The rare tribe of Nepal lives in Guranse Dada. There are 74 types of castes in this district. There is also diversity in language and religion as a form of ethnic diversity. There is also diversity in religion. 75% of those who follow Hinduism in religion, 23% of Buddhists and 2% of those who follow other religions are in this district.

In this district, pre-priority 10, priority school 435, n.m.b. 120, secondary school. There are 67 technical schools and 11 higher secondary schools. The average literacy rate of the district is 39.28%, while the male literacy is 52.53% and female literacy is 26.04%.
Among the major physical facilities, the construction work of Bardibas-Sindhuli-Banepa road section from Sindhulimadhi to Khurkot section has been completed. Blacktopped road, 37 km long road connecting Bardibas, the market of Tarai, with sindhulimadhi, the district headquarters. Out of 25 km. Blacktopping and remaining gravel roads and about 1100 lines of telephones, 1000 CDMA units. And there are more than 65,000 mobile services. Apart from this, various seasonal roads, district hospitals, college facilities, market centers are also physical factors contributing to the socio-economic development of the district.

In order to strengthen the various aspects of human life, other organizations/organizations are working in the economic and social development of the district other than the government offices operating in the district. In addition to the support of these organizations/ organizations, the problems of poverty, gender discrimination, child mortality, malnutrition have not been reduced significantly due to various cultural, geographical remoteness, poverty in the district.

With the gradual construction of the Bardibas-Sindhulimadhi-Banepa road and other necessary infrastructures from the bardibas-Sindhulimadhi-Banepa road and other agencies under construction in the district, the condition of poverty prevailing in the district will definitely improve from the areas where the district has received specialization such as milk products, fruits and herbs.

President's Words to Everyone

 

आदर्णिय अमेरिकाबासी समस्त सिन्धुलिवासीहरूमा सादर नमस्कार ।

सर्वप्रथम म तपाईहरू सबैले यस सिन्धुलि समाज अमेरिकाको स्थापनादेखिनैं पुऱ्याउदैं आउनुभएको योगदान प्रति सम्मान व्यक्त गर्न चाहन्छु । हामी सबैले यस सिन्धुलि समाज अमेरिकालाई संस्थागत, सुदृढ र एकतावद्ध बनाएर लैजानका लागि तपाई सबैंको उत्तिकै भूमिका रहदैं आएको छ । सबैंको सक्रिय योगदानका कारण यस समाजलाई सफल , उर्जावान,सबैको प्रत्यक्ष सहभागिता र भविष्य बोकेको समाजको परिकल्पना गर्न सकिन्छ । मैले यो संस्थाको अध्यक्षको जिम्मेवारी बहन गर्दै गर्दा यस गरिमामा मलाई जिम्मेवारी सुम्पिनुहुने समस्त कार्यसमितिका अग्रज तथा साथिहरू प्रति हार्दिक कृतज्ञता प्रकट गर्न चाहन्छु । यो एउटा अभियान हो सबैको साथले मात्र अभियानले गति लिन सक्दछ । यसका लागि म सबै अमेरिका निवासी सिन्धुलिबासी सबैमा सहभागिता जनाउनुहुन र यस अभियानमा सदस्यता लिई प्रत्यक्ष रुपमा जोडिनका लागि विनम्र अनुरोध गर्दछु । तपाईहरु सबैका लागि संस्थाले आवश्यक पर्दा सकेको साथ र सहयोग गर्दै दुख सुखको सारथी बन्दै विदेशीभूमिमा कसरी आफ्नोपनको अभिभावत्व गहन गर्न सकिन्छ भन्ने हाम्रो यस संस्थाको चिन्ता र चासो रहेको हुदॅा यस अभियानमा हातेमालो गरिदिनुहुन सवैमा अनुरोध गर्दछु । Membership: https://www.sindhulisamajusa.org/ssa-membership आज हामी सॅस्थाको दोस्रो अधिवेशनको सॅघारमा उभिएका छौ यस सामाजिक अभियानलाई जिवन्त दिनका निम्ति सामाजिक सेवामा ईच्छा राख्ने साथिहरूलाई जिम्मेवारी प्रदान गर्नु हाम्रो कर्तब्य हुन आउछ यसर्थ संस्थाको सदस्य बन्दा हामीले प्रत्यक्ष रुपमैं आफ्ना विषयहरु को सम्वोधन गर्न सक्छौ जन्मभूमि र कर्मभूमि विचको यात्रामा हामि कोहि एक्लै यात्रा तय गर्नुपर्ने अवस्था नआओस एक अर्काको दुख र प्रगतिलाई कसरी साटासाट गर्दै सहयोगको वातावरण निर्माण गरी तपाई हामी सबैको आवश्यकता महसुस गर्री हामी सबैले गर्वको अनुभूति गर्न सक्ने सिन्धुलि समाज अमेरिका निर्माणमा सहयोग गरिदिनुहुन हार्दिक अपिल गर्दछु ।

 सआदरणीय दाजुभाई तथा दिदीवहिनीहरू,

 

सवै प्रवासमा वसोवास गर्नु हुने नेपाली झैं हामी सिन्धुलीवासी अमेरिका निवासी , जन्मथलोको म्न्यानो वात्सल्यको संझना लिई कर्मथलो संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकामा आएर संवृध्द आफ्नो सानो संसार निर्माण गर्न संघर्षरत छौं। हामी जो कोही रहरले होस् वा वाध्यताले, समस्याको होस् वा चाहनाले, आफ्नै नियतिले होस् वा राज्यले लिएको नीतिको परिणतिले नै किन नहोस् करीव असी लाख नेपाली प्रवासिएको अवस्था छ। नेपालीहरू प्रवासिने क्रम जारी छ भने आप्रवासीहरू नेपाल भित्रनै चाप पनि घनिभूत रूपमा देखिएको छ। यो अवस्थामा सिन्धुली जिल्लाको अवस्था पनि नेपालको वर्तमान परिस्थिति भन्दा केही पनि फरक छैन।परदेशिएका सिन्धुलीवासीहरूमा  मातृभूमि प्रति भावनात्मक सम्वन्ध रहनु स्वाभाविक छ भने प्रदेशमा नयाँ परिवेशमा अन्तरघुलन हूँदै वाच्नको लागि संघर्षरत रहनु आजको यथार्थ रहेको छ। आज हामी मूलभूत रूपमा मातृभूमिका साथै कर्मभूमि प्रतिको दोहोरो दायीत्व निर्वाह गर्नु पर्ने परिस्थितिमा छौं। दुवै पक्षको दायीत्व निर्वाह गर्न आवश्क छ, जसका लागि ईक्षा शक्तिका अतिरिक्त समय, शिक्षा, सीप, शोच, साधन, स्रोत आदि सवैको ज़रूरत पर्दछ। आफ्नै समुदायमा भएको विविध पक्षको शक्तिलाई एकीकृत गरी, संगठित रूपमा संचालन गर्न सके  हाम्रो समुदायले  पहिचान सहितको समृद्धिका लागि फ़ड्को मार्न सक्नेछ भन्ने कुरामा दुई मत हुन सक्दैन। 

 

यस परिप्रेक्ष्यमा नेपालको सिन्धुली जिल्लावाट अमेरिकामा  वसोवास गर्दै आउनु भएका केही युवा समुहको आफ्नो समुदाय प्रति केही गरौं भन्ने भावना, जोस, जागर, उत्साह र मातृभूमि प्रतिको कर्तव्य परायणता वोध हुनुको फलस्वरूप वर्सौं देखि समयको गर्भभित्र रहेको “सिन्धुली समाज अमेरिका- २०२२” अमेरिका  न्युयोर्क राज्यमा अमेरिकी सामाजिक संघ संस्था दर्ता ऐन ५०१ सी (501-C) अन्तर्गत दर्ता भएको कुरा जानकारी गराउन पाउँदा खुशी लागेको छ। यस संस्था दर्ता गर्ने क्रममा सिन्धुली जिल्लावाट अमेरिका आई विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा अतुलनीय योगदान पुर्याउनु हुने विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्वहरू जो संस्थाको सल्लाहाकारको रूपमा रहेर हामीलाई महत्वपूर्ण सल्लाह , सुझाव र प्रेरणा दिनु भएको छ वहाँहरू प्रति विशेष आभार व्यक्त गर्न चाहन्छु।  सिन्धुली जिल्लावाट संयुक्त राज्य  अमेरिका को कुनै पनि राज्यमा आएर वसोवास गर्नु हुने जो कोही सिन्धुलीवासी यस संस्थाको सदस्य वन्न सक्नुहुने यस संस्थाको प्रावधान रहेको कुरा जानकारी लागि अनुरोध गर्दछु।संस्थाको स्थापना नितान्त सामाजिक उदेश्यले प्रेरित रहेको छ। लैंगिक, जातीय, राजनीतिक, धार्मिक वा अन्य विभेद रहित यो संस्था रहेका पनि सवै कार्य क्षेत्र र उदेश्य अनुरूप सिन्धुली जिल्लावासी वा सिन्धुली संग विवाहवारी गरी वा वसाई सराईका साथै सिन्धुली जिल्ला प्रति विशेष योगदान पुर्याउने व्यक्तित्वहरू संस्थाका सदस्य रहने प्रावधान विधानसम्मत राखिएको छ।दर्ताको क़ानूनी प्रकृया पुरा गरी १७ संसदीय कार्य समिति, ७ सदस्यीय सल्लाहाकार समिति संरचाना यस संस्थाले लिएको छ। सन् २०२२ को विधिवत रूपमा कर शुल्क वुझाई (Tax File) गरि संस्थालाई अमेरिकाको नाफारहित सामाजिक संस्था ऐन वमोजिम आवश्यक कार्य सम्पादन गरिएको छ। त्यस्तै,  संस्थाको वेब साइट पनि संस्कारी महासचीवको अथक प्रयासमा तय भएको कुरा जानकारी गराउन चाहन्छु। संस्थाको विधान निर्माण, दर्ता प्रकृया खाता खोल्ने आदि संगठनात्मक कार्यमा सकृय सहभागिता पुर्याउनुहुने सम्पूर्ण कार्य समितिमा साथीहरू एवं सल्लाहाका समिति प्रति हार्दिक आभार प्रकट गर्न चाहन्छु।

 

सिन्धुली समाज अमेरिकाको यो मात्र शुरूवात हो। सिन्धुली जिल्ला प्रति वा सिन्धुली वासी अमेरिका निवासी हाम्रो समुदाय प्रति संगठित रूपले केही योगदान पुर्याउने उदेश्यले स्थापित यो संस्थामा आज पक्कै पनि धेरै अनुभवी, स्रोतपूर्ण, विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्वहरूको नामछुट्न गएको छ। यसकालाागि संस्थाको अध्यक्षको रूपवाट क्षमा याचना गर्दै यो हाम्रो सत्प्रयास, सदिक्षा र शुरूवात मात्र रहेको हुँदा सवैलाई यस संस्थामा आवध्द रही आगामी दिनमा सवल, सशक्त, सक्षम  र सुदृढ़ सिन्धुली समाज अमेरिकाको निर्माण गर्न सहभागी हुन् हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछु।

यस संस्थाको संस्थागत विकास, पारदर्शिता, जन्मस्थलो प्रतिको आत्मीयता लाई आत्मसात गर्दै सामाजिक मौलिक कार्य सम्पादनका प्रभावकारी कार्यक्रम सहित गर्न सकौं। हाम्रो सानो सत्प्रयासले हाम्रो आफ्नो समुदायमा सहयोग पुग्न सकोस् भन्ने हाम्रो मान्यता रहेको छ। 

 

सिन्धुलीवासीको पहिचान अभूतपूर्व रहेको छ। नेपालको सार्वभौमिक्ता अक्षुण्ण राख्न हाम्रा पिता पूर्खाको योगदान र महिमा अपार छ। हरिहरपुर गढी र सिन्धुली गढ़ीको मौलिक इतिहास हाम्रा सन्ततिलाई सिकाउनु  छ। सिन्धुलीका जुनारको  स्वाद चखाउनु छ। धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक पर्यटन क्षेत्रको सम्भावना वोकेको सिन्धुली ज़िल्लाको माटोको सुगन्ध प्रवासको क्षितिज सम्म पुर्याउनु छ। पटक पटक वाढी पैरोवाट  भूकम्प वा ०७२ सालको महाभूकम्पवाट पनि ठूलो जन धनकों क्षति सिन्धुलीवासी को नियति वनेको छ। दैविक प्रकोपको अवस्थामा पीड़ित पक्षलाई केही राहत पुर्याउन सकौ, भन्ने हाम्रो चाहना रहेको छ। 

हामीले नगरे कसले गर्ने? आज नगर् कहिले गर्ने? तसर्थ आफ्नो सानो प्रयासले आफ्नो मातृभूमि र समुदाय प्रति केही गर्न सकौं । संगठित रूपमा सत्प्रयास क़ायम राखौं. वाँचेर वचाउन सकौं। यस शुभकार्यमा जुट्नका लागि अमेरिकानो वसोवासगर्ने सम्पूर्ण सिन्धुलीवासीहरूलाई अनुरोध गर्दछु।
